Hole 4 is a par five. White posts mark the practice
ground on the right, which is out of bounds.
The fairway is flat and wide, unless you
drive too far to where it narrows sharply
at the well-positioned trees that can
hamper your second shot.
Two fairway bunkers come into play for
your second shot but if you stay out of
them you’ll have an easy third shot
into one of the flattest greens at Shirley.
Make your third shot straight, as two
shallow greenside bunkers are ready and
waiting to catch an off-line pitching
shot.
