There are four places currently available in the Shirley Park Golf Club Academy for gentlemen or ladies who want to learn how to play golf or simply improve the golf you already play.

Get one-to-one tuition with our PGA trained club professionals and learn all about the game, its rules and the etiquette. Eventually you could be offered a membership of Shirley Park Golf Club, having acquired an official golf club handicap (CONGU), acceptable at any national golf club.

Ideal for beginners as well as those players who want to improve their game in a structured environment under the expert tuition of our PGA trained professionals. 

The Shirley Park Golf Club Academy is open to a maximum of twelve players learning the latest swing techniques, putting methods and exercises that will improve your swing and help you acquire the skills needed to enjoy the game.

When you enter the academy you will receive regular assessments and reports to show you the improvement you are making. You'll learn the latest swings and putting techniques with practical demonstrations on the putting green and with lessons on the course.

We'll teach you how to avoid slow play, how better to understand the rules of golf and even how to complete your scorecard. Everything you need to know to become a member of a Golf Club, make new friends and acquire a recognised golf club handicap.
